
Mark Anthony Suazo, 59, of Longmont passed away September 26, 2012 at his home. He was born August 20, 1953 in Denver, Colorado to Jose Tito and Petralena (Martinez) Suazo.Mark married Cheryl Eastwood on June 22, 1974 in Westminster, Colorado. They moved to Longmont in 1984. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.After retiring from Avaya in Westminster, where he worked for 30-plus years, Mark worked for St Vrain Valley School District at the Vance Brand Auditorium Theater, where Skyline High School recognized his support and dedication by giving him the Erin Allen Angel Award in 2012, and an honorary membership in the International Thesbian Society for demonstrating extraordinary support of students in theater.Mark's passion was his wife and daughter, he was known to be an adoring father and dedicated, loving husband. In younger years, he was an accomplished ballet dancer, and later took roles in Longmont Dance Theater ballet productions that his daughter Emily had been cast in, sharing the joy of dance with his precious baby girl. He was a patron of the arts and enjoyed plays, concerts and museum visits.He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Viola McCune and Lydia Cordova.Mark is survived by his wife Cheryl of Longmont, daughter Emily Suazo of Longmont, and sister-in-law Barbara Eastwood of Denver, CO.Contributions may be made to The Mark A. Suazo Memorial Fund at 1st Bank, 1707 N. Main St., Longmont to help his family with finances. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and sent in care of the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Mass of Resurrection will be 10:30 AM Tuesday October 2, 2012 at St John the Baptist Catholic Church. Cremation held at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
