Mary L Baron

Mary Baron, 91, of Longmont Colorado, died March 26, 2018 at Life Care Center of Longmont. She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on May 18, 1926, the daughter of Joseph and Julia (Kinaszczuk) Ogonowski. On June 28, 1947 she married John Baron in Cranford, New Jersey. Together they raised their family in Hyde Park, New York. In 1993 Mary and John moved to Round Rock, Texas. John preceded her in death in 1997, at which time Mary moved to Longmont.

Mary was an active member of St. Peter (Hyde Park, NY), St. Margaret Mary (Cedar Park, TX) and St. John the Baptist Catholic Churches, where she sang in the choir. She was an avid walker and gardener, she quilted and crocheted, and late in life became known for telling jokes.

Surviving are her six sons: Michael (Linda) of Virginia, Patrick (Anita) of US Virgin Islands, Ken (Deb) of North Carolina, Joseph (Carol) of North Carolina, John (Joanne) of Longmont, and Zachary (Jeana) of California. She is further survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and her sister Eleanore Randolph.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Visitation will be held at the Howe Mortuary in Longmont, on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 5-7 pm. Rosary prayers will follow at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 6, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
