

Mary was born on August 15, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan to Thomas I. Neuman and Joan Renke Neuman. Mary was raised in Michigan and graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School.
Mary wed Michael Patrick Herbert on October 25, 1975 in Detroit, Michigan. The Herbert’s moved to Longmont in 1980.
Mary often joked that she received her degree in MRS (Mrs.). She was a devoted wife, who supported her husband in his successful career as an automobile dealer and consultant. Her daughter, Kaitlyn was the sunshine of her life, a tremendous source of joy and unconditional love. Mary was the consummate housewife, homemaker, and hostess, providing a loving, warm and peaceful place for her family. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed animals and loved gardening. Mary will always be remembered for her warm and embracing smile.
Mary and Mike’s favorite place to get away was the island of Maui. Over the past several years, the warm breezes and sandy beaches provided the entire family a sanctuary of peace, love, and happiness.
Mary worked as an office manager for Wayne Castle, DDS for a number of years and as a sales agent for Prudential Realtors. Mary was also a long-time volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are her husband of Longmont; daughter Kaitlyn Herbert of Denver; four brothers Mark, Michael, and Marty Neuman of Michigan and Matthew Neuman of Florida; two sisters Michelle Mancini and Marsha Ryan both of Michigan, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 24 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel in Longmont.
