Mary Ann Kerr

Mary Ann Kerr of Longmont, CO passed away on November 16, 2023. She was born on July 6, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio to Jerry and Hildegard (Brown) Coyle. Mary was raised in Massachusetts and upstate New York in a family consisting of thirteen cousins and siblings including her sister Nancy Coyle (Moros). Her father served in World War II and was an entertainer. He traveled around the country singing when Mary was born.

She met and married Robert W. Kerr after moving to Colorado in 1970 with her children. Mary and Bob remained married for 50 years until her passing. Bob still resides at their family farm in Ft. Lupton, Colorado. She worked as a sales associate for Sears in Northglenn before moving to the Longmont area in 1975. Mary enjoyed spending time with family, sewing, cooking and gardening.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Robert W. Kerr of Ft. Lupton, CO; her children, David C. Kerr and wife Jeannie Kerr of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Robert M Pivacek (Mike) and wife Erin Devitt of Broomfield, CO, and Kathryn Smith and husband Bill Edwards of Centennial, CO; granddaughter, Megan Pivacek of Reno, NV.

Also surviving is her sister Nancy Moros of Uncasville, CT; nieces Jeannine (Moros) Kniffen and husband Stephen Knifffen of Oklahoma City, OK, Marissa Shannon and husband Mark Shannon of Naintic, CT; nephew Joel Moros of Norwich, CT; cousins James and Mary Devries of Houston, TX.

A funeral service for Mary will be held Monday November 27, 2023 at 10:30am at Howe Mortuary in Longmont. Mary will be laid to rest at Foothills Gardens of Memory the following day at 10:30am.
