Mary Emily Philbrook

Mary Emily Philbrook passed away May 31, 2016 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Westminster, Colorado. She was 96 years old.Mary was born December 15, 1919 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Clarence and Nettie May (Nye) Campbell. She married Bill Philbrook in 1944 and in 1972 moved from Northglenn to Longmont, Colorado.Mary operated and ran Hutchings Preschool in Longmont in the 1970's and continued to run and operate daycare facilities in Longmont until she retired.She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.Mary was a volunteer for Senior Net, an organization of seniors teaching seniors computer skills.She enjoyed canning, camping, sewing and genealogy.Mary was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.She is survived by son, David (Nita) Philbrook of Denver, daughters Virginia (John) Fields of Coquille, Oregon, Roberta Courtney of Longmont, two sisters, Jean Rohrer and Betty Skogman, grandchildren, Matthew, Jeremy, Tim, Andrea, Ben, Marie and Don and 18 great-grandchildren.Memorial service 3:00 pm, Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church.
