Mary Lou Schalk, 85, of Longmont, formerly of Miamitown, Ohio passed away on June 4, 2015 at Applewood Living Center where she had resided for 13 years. She was the daughter of Donald (Jack) and Alice Swingle. She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew William Donald Swingle II. She is survived by her brother, William Donald Swingle Sr., her three children Peggy (Chip Mueller) Schuck, Tony (Maxine) Schalk and Kelly Tucker and her three grandchildren, Sean Tucker, Jamie and Hannah Davis, her nephew Kenneth David Swingle, and numerous great nieces and nephews, also her extended family at Applewood Living Center past and present. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching sports and cooking shows. She was “mom” or “Aunt Mary” to many. She will always be remembered for the smile on her face and quick wit. She will be loved and missed by all those who knew her. Her cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary. A celebration of Mary’s’ life will be disclosed at a later date. We love you and will miss you mom.
