Mary L. Wiley of Longmont, CO passed away February 7, 2009 at Longmont United Hospital. Mary was the first of eight children born to Edward and Mary Littmann on July 19, 1937 in Cudahy, Wisconsin. Being the oldest of eight children, she was often thought of as the matriarch of her family. Mary married Robert D. Wiley on October 31, 1964 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and they had three children. Prior to moving to Longmont in 1974, the family also lived in Spencer, Iowa and Geneseo, Illinois. Mary worked as a PBX Operator/Communications Manager at Longmont United Hospital for 28 years. She thoroughly enjoyed her job and all people she worked with and met. She was always surrounded by friends and was willing to help others when needed. She was a very giving person and had a positive influence on everyone she met. As a cancer survivor, Mary participated in the Relay for Life and was a top fundraiser for Cancer Awareness. She was also a homemaker who always put the needs of her husband, children and grandchildren first. Mary enjoyed being at home; the door was always open at the Wiley house regardless of the time of day. Most of all she loved sitting in her backyard soaking in the Colorado sunshine. She also loved animals, especially dogs and loved to feed the squirrels. Mary was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Mrs. Wiley was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Mary is survived by her three children and their families: Robert Wiley and his daughter Abigale of Longmont, Michael and Amy Jo Wiley and their children Samantha and Bennett of Longmont, and Kathleen and Scott Paswaters and their children Austin, Katie, and Lauren of Louisville. She is also survived by four brothers: Richard and Susan Littmann, James Littmann, John and Cheryl Littmann, Tom Littmann and Demitra Copoulos-Littmann all of Wisconsin; three sisters: Barbara and Donald Brudnicki, Jeannie and Jim Teska, and Catherine Littmann also of Wisconsin and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Friday, February 13. Memorials may be given to the City of St. Jude, 2048 W. Fairview Avenue, Montgomery, AL 36177 or to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 336 Emery St. Longmont, CO
