

Maxine was born October 28, 1916 in Petersburg, Nebraska the daughter of Herman J. and Jennie (Ottele) Keuter. Maxine moved with her family to Yuma, CO in 1921 from Nebraska.
She married Anthony “Tony” Becker on February 5, 1936 in St. Peter’s Catholic Church near Yuma, CO. Following their marriage they moved to Weld County where they began farming. In 1954 she began a 24-year career with Cyclone Manufacturing, retiring in 1978. Maxine moved to Longmont in 1962, immediately becoming a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tony, a daughter Elaine Ann Seewald, two brothers, Edwin and Lawrence Keuter, and one sister, Lucille Hassman.
Survivors include her son Ken Becker and his wife Ann of Loveland, CO and her daughter JoAnn Newton and her husband Roland of Whitefish, MT, her sister Marie Melbourne of Longmont, CO and 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Her years were filled enjoying her children, grandchildren and extended families.
Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Service.
Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12 followed at 10:00 a.m. by a Mass Of Christian Burial, both at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
