

Maxine Marie (Milligan) Wagner, 89, of Longmont died April 16, 2015, at home. She was born May 14, 1925, in Beaver City, NE to Nelson and Nellie (Leonard) Milligan. She attended grade school in Holbrook, NE and Wray, CO. In August 1941 she moved with her family to Longmont for her senior year, graduating from Longmont High School.She married Clarence G. Wagner, September 17, 1945 in San Francisco, CA while Clarence was in the Navy. They returned to Longmont in 1946 where she was a bookkeeper, telephone operator, and grocery checker for Ideal Markets. Her passion was her love for the Lord and she enjoyed serving by playing the piano, singing in the choir, being a youth group leader, and greeting at the Welcome Center at First Christian/Lifebridge where she was a member for 74 years. Family life was important to her, attending her son's basketball and baseball games, lots of music lessons and performances, Clarence's golf outings, and family picnics in the mountains.She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, her parents, three brothers, six brother-in-laws, five sister-in-laws, and recently her son Robert. She is survived by her daughter Becky (Rick) Lowry of Florence, KY; daughter-in-law Cindy Wagner of West Melbourne, FL; granddaughter Amanda Lowry of Chicago, IL; grandson Bryant Lowry of Nashville, TN, one brother-in-law Ronald (Arlette) Wagner, sister-in-law JoAnn Wagner and many loved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, April 20, 2015 beginning at noon until time of service which begins at 1:30 pm at Lifebridge Christian Church. Burial to follow service at Mt. View Cemetery.
