Michael Bruce Ehlen, 47, passed away on June 1, 2026, in Colorado. He was born August 6, 1978, to Cheryl and Tim Ehlen, and grew up to become someone whose presence was impossible to overlook and equally impossible to forget.
Michael was a man of strength and perseverance, someone who didn't back down when life got hard and didn't pretend it was easy when it wasn't. There was a realness to him that people recognized and respected. He didn't deal in surface-level conversation; when Michael talked with you, it meant something. He felt things fully and lived without apology for who he was.
His passions were woven into the fabric of his daily life. He was a die-hard Raiders fan through every season, good or bad, the kind of loyalty that said something about his character. Motorcycles weren't just a hobby; they were a way of moving through the world on his own terms. He could be found at the grill with the confidence of someone who took barbecue seriously, or out on the water with a fishing line in hand and nowhere else he'd rather be. His tattoos told the story of a life lived with intention, each one a chapter only he could fully narrate.
But above all of it — above the football and the open road and the smell of smoke off a grill — Michael loved his family. They were his proudest thing. He leaves behind his wife Sara, seven children Noelle, Oriana, Ryan-Marie, Maddie, Miya, Mariah, and Mikey, and five grandchildren Anela, Jace, Jonah, C.J. and L.T, a testament to how much life he packed into 47 years and how many people called him their own.
He was loved without condition, and the space he occupied cannot be filled. He will be deeply missed.
