Mildred A. Hart

Mildred A. Hart died on April 15, 2012 at Beatrice Hover Assisted Livingin Longmont , Colorado. Mildred was born September 1, 1915 in rural Kloten, North Dakota to Lars and Anna (Sundre) Larson. She was baptized October 3, 1915 and confirmed July 20, 1929 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Kloten, North Dakota. She graduated from McVille High School in 1933 and attended Business College in Fargo, North Dakota. She worked as office manager at Dakota Auto Company and Border Chevrolet Company in Grand Forks, North Dakota, before coming to Longmont in 1955. She worked as office manager for Wills & Hajek Chevrolet, Home Lumber Company in Longmont, and Boulder Valley Volkswagen in Boulder. On June 9, 1957, she married Phillip Hart of Berthoud. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and was active in many church groups, including teaching Sunday school and singing in the choir. She enjoyed traveling, doing volunteer work and was active in RSVP of Boulder County for many years. She also enjoyed doing embroidery work, crocheting, and making quilts for the poor and needy.She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother. She is survived by her husband Phillip, and her daughter Maridee and husband David Schr der of Eagan, Minnesota.Visitation will be 4-6pm Tuesday April 17, 2012 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel with family present to great friends. Funeral service 11:00an Wednesday April 18, 2012 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery in Berthoud, Colorado. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Anne Carlson Center for Children, 701 3rd St. N.W. Jamestown, North Dakota 58041 or Bethlehem Lutheran Church in c/o Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. When she was 88, she attended an RSVP breakfast in Boulder where she was presented with a Certificate of Special Recognition for 27 hours of outstanding and invaluable service to the community and later that week she received a letter of congratulations from Mary Keenan, District Attorney, stating she was a wonderful role model to our community.
