

Mildred was born August 1, 1922 in Granger, Texas to John Holick and Theresa Zett Holick
On May 4, 1946 she married Louis J. Shirock in Galveston, Texas.
Mildred worked as a PX clerk and a Civil Service office clerk. But most importantly she was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker.
Lou and Mildred made their home in Euclid, Ohio.The couple later moved to Boulder, then to Longmont in 1983. They attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Mildred is survived by her daughter Sharon Harvell of Longmont, Granddaughter Amanda Atchley and her husband Robbie Ward, and their three children, Daniel, Audrie, and Carter of Peyton, Colorado.
Mildred was active in gardening, painting, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be fondly remembered for her quick smile and grand sense of humor. Her laugh was always genuine.
Preceding her in death is her husband, a son Louis B. Shirock, her brothers, Adolf and Frank Stefka, and a beloved sister Gardina Stefka.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 in the Howe Mortuary Community Room.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 2nd at St. Francis of Assisi, 2410 B Trade Center Avenue, Longmont, with the Reverend Frank Maroney officiating. Interment will follow at Green Mountain Cemetery in Boulder.
