Morgan Bain Carter

Morgan was born on July 28, 1945 in Stirling, Scotland, United Kingdom to Helen T. (Bain) Carter and Irwin M. Carter. He married Sherrill L. (Cohee) Carter on June 17, 1972 in Jefferson, IN.

Morgan retired from the United States Navy in 1971 after 4 years of service and became a Quality Assurance Specialist for the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) under the Department of Defense. He retired from DCMA in 2010.

Morgan enjoyed reading, discussing politics and history, good food, and exceptional beer. He loved to go out to eat with his family. His smile, laughter and large personality will be missed by many.

Surviving are his wife, Sherrill Carter of Longmont, CO; a daughter, Carissa Carter (Michael Oliver) of Chesterfield, Virginia; two grand-daughters (Sera Carter and Alexandria Oliver); and two sisters (Patricia Cress and Helen Harkey) of Ocean Springs, MS.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Howe Mortuary, Longmont, Colo. and memorials may be made to the Longmont Humane Society through the mortuary.
