Nancy Mcdowell

Nancy McDowell died Saturday, June 17, 2006, at her home in Longmont. She was 83.Mrs. McDowell was born Dec. 20, 1922, in Hawaii to Roku and Otokichi Niino. After spending her childhood in Hawaii, she married Fred McDowell and moved to Texas, then New Mexico, and finally to Boulder in 1954.Mrs. McDowell service on the administrative staff at the Presbyterian Church in Boulder for 25 years, retiring in 1987. She remained active in the senior group for years to follow.She was an active an involved member of the Bible Baptist Church of Erie. She will be remembered as being generous in sharing her time and energy with the congregation of the church, young and old alike and for being warm, loving and faithful.Mrs. McDowell was preceded in death by her two siblings and her husband. She is survived by three sons, Bruce of Longmont, D.N. of Sierra Vista, AZ, and D. Elliott of Los Alamos, NM; a brother, George of Hawaii; sister, Josephine of Hawaii; two daughters-in-law; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family will hold private services.
