Ninaellen Blanco Shook

Ninaellen Blanco Shook, 56, of Longmont, died July 10, 2017 at Life Care Center of Longmont. She was born February 22, 1961 in Jackson, Michigan, the daughter of Ellen Margaret (Marcis) and F. Edward Blanco. Ninaellen graduated Jefferson Township HS, Lake Hopatcong, NJ. She earned a BSCE from The Ohio State University in 1983. Her working career was that of a Licensed Civil Engineer. She worked for NASA, Federal Highways and private engineering firms. She always said ""Dirt and concrete are my life.""

She married Tod Jeffrey Shook on June 29, 1996 in Alexandria, Virginia. They moved to Longmont in 2007 from Morrison, Illinois.

In her free time Ninaellen enjoyed sports, mission trips, movies (especially oldies).

She is survived by her husband Tod Shook of Longmont and her siblings Lisa Kimble - Grove City OH, Mark and Mimi Blanco - Yonkers NY, Bruce and Kathleen Blanco - Garden City NY and Evan and Linda Blanco - Naples FL.

Ninaellen will be remembered for her positive attitude and her belief that “The day is wasted without laughter”.

A Celebration of Life has been held.
