

Norm D. Miller husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on September 28, 2019 In Longmont Colorado. He was born on July 23, 1923 in Scenery Hill, PA to Dempsey M. Miller and Ruth A. Miller.
Norm was born to fly. In 1942 at the age of 19 he was drafted into the Army and went through basic training then got into the Army Air Corps and was sent to Denver Colorado for armament school. He always wanted to fly and was accepted into the pilot cadet program receiving his wings in 1945 fulfilling a dream and launching a career. After World War II was over he returned he moved to Youngstown, Ohio with his new wife Ann and started a family. He continued his flying as an Air Corp Reserve Officer and got a job with United Airlines in ground services that lasted for 6 years. In 1952 he secured a position as a pilot for United Airlines stationed in Denver Colorado where he remained until his retirement as a Captain flying a Boeing 727. After his retirement he could frequently be found on his flight simulator charting flights and flying to destinations around the world. In addition to flying Norm had a great love of the outdoors, fishing in his beloved Colorado mountains, golfing with friends and books. His love of nature developed into a sense of spirituality that guided him through his life.
Norm was proceeded in death be his wife Ann M. Miller who passed away February 2nd, 2008 in Parker Colorado. Ann is currently buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery awaiting to be reunited with Norm. He is survived by his daughter Connie Maloney of Hawaii, son David Miller of Longmont Colorado, Four grandchildren; Mike Maloney of Byers, Colorado, Chris Miller of Boulder Colorado, Sara Feaster of Mead Colorado and Misty Love of Fredrick Colorado. Eight grandchildren; Haley Miller of Loveland Colorado, Cole and Levi Cahill Miller of Boulder Colorado, Parker and Kate Love of Frederick Colorado and Mikayla Maloney of Cedar City Utah and Ava and Margo Feaster of Mead Colorado.
A Military Burial With Honors will be held Octobers 14th, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver Colorado.
