Opal Mae Jackson

Opal’s working career was spent mostly in sales, as a seamstress in a bridal shop, for more than 16 years. She enjoyed the mountains, especially Estes Park and sewing, reading and cooking.

Opal married Duane Lee Jackson on November 18, 1983 in Fort Collins, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons Tony Melvin Friedrichs and Ricky Arthur Friedrichs, her daughter April Rose Friedrichs, her brother Merle Farley and two sisters Cora Burgess and Fern Silbaugh.

Opal is survived by her husband Duane Jackson of Longmont, her son James (Lynda) Friedrichs of Mead and her sister Iva Ruth Watson of Florida.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel in Longmont. A reception will follow the services in the Howe Mortuary Event Room.
