Patricia S. Hughes

Patricia Hughes, 70, died June 25, 2011 with her daughter Bridget at her side at Longmont United Hospital in Longmont.Patti, as she was known to her friends and family, was born October 2, 1940 in Los Angeles, CA. Her father Burnette worked for Braun in Pasadena, CA and her mother Maxine was a homemaker.After a semester in college at the University of Colorado, Patti fell in love with the state of Colorado and returned to live in the Boulder area in 1976. She began working for the University of Colorado beginning at Wardenburg Health Center. She then moved on to the Transportation Department where she worked until she planned to retire.Her interests included spending time with her children and grandchildren, gardening, camping and entertaining around the home. She was a devoted employee to the University and was a dedicated Buff supporter.Ms. Hughes is survived by her 3 daughters and their spouses and son and spouse; Bridget and Pete Lambert, Stephanie and Chris Eason, Kerrie and Lindsay Robertson and Jason and Michelle Hughes. She also has 7 grandchildren.A private memorial service will be held. Cremation is under the care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
