

Pat Lee passed away on May 31st from complications arising from chronic COPD. She is survived by her three daughters: Tina Bodnar (Paul), Jenni York (Rick) and Kathy Opp (Randy); seven grandchildren Kate, Anna, Jess, Josh, Rory, Ceili and Kiernan; and three siblings Claire Fuller (Bud), Jerry Ritter and Barbara Stecklein (Carol). Pat worked as a bookkeeper and accountant for most of her career before retiring from Arapahoe County in 1998. Pat was very active as a volunteer for the Church and the Archdiocese of Denver. Over the years, she held many positions, including President of the St. Louis School PTA, business manager for both St. Louis Parish and for the Archdiocese of Denver’s Annual Campaign for Progress. She was also the score keeper for many of the sports teams her husband Jim coached over the years. Pat’s passions included caring for her family, traveling with Jim, particularly to Ireland and on cruises, her rose garden, collecting Hummels, cheering for the Rockies and the Broncos, bowling, playing cards and building puzzles with her grandchildren, and watching game shows.
Visitation will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont on Thursday, June 18 from 6:30 to 7:00pm, Rosary beginning at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 19 at St. John’s at 9:30am with a reception following. Burial services will be on Monday, June 22 at 11:30am at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Catholic Relief Services (CRS.org) and/or St. Jude Children’s Hospital (StJude.org). This thoughtful, loving and gentle woman will be missed by all that had the good fortune of knowing her. May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
