Patricia (Pat) Sue McGee

Patricia (Pat) Sue McGee passed away on September 6, 2026. She was born in La Junta, Colorado, on April 3, 1940, to Norman Kenneth Deason and Katherine Rebecca Holman. Growing up, Pat was active, mischievous, athletic, and excelled academically. She graduated from McClave High School and went on to attend Lamar Junior College where she met and married her husband, John Stanley (Stan) McGee.

In 1965, Pat and Stan moved to Longmont, Colorado. She devoted herself to creating a warm, loving, and nurturing home for her family, taking great pride in her role as a homemaker. She also worked part-time for much of her adult life at Beeline Fashion, the Post Office, and Concepts in Longmont. Pat was a loving, hardworking, and supportive mother who was always someone her family, friends, and siblings could count on for guidance, care, and help.

A woman of deep faith, Pat was a longtime member of LifeBridge Church, having joined when it was still known as First Christian Church on Coffman Street. She remained actively involved in Bible study groups throughout her life, finding fellowship and strength in her faith. She was also an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority in Longmont for many years and enjoyed participating in local dance clubs.

Pat loved entertaining family and friends at home, traveling with Stan and her second husband, William (Bill) Johnson, to explore new places and cultures, and spending time in her garden, where she took great pride in her roses. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

● Her Father and Mother-in-law, Walter and Ada McGee

● Her cousins, Allen Travis (Charlotte) and Marybeth Travis

● Her son, Brian McGee and his wife Sherryl

● Her daughter, Tina Ballard and her husband Kelle

● Her stepchildren, Rick Johnson, Jeff Johnson (Sally), Brent Johnson (Liz)

● Her sisters, Mona Morris (Jim) and Cindy Munger (Rick)

● Her sister-in-law, Judy Bezona (Doc)

● Her grandchildren: Shawnte Riley-McCoy (Chris), John McGee (Lisa), Kenne Ballard (Sarah), Brennen Ballard (Jessica), Trever Ballard, and Rebecka Scerbo (Anthony)

● Her great-grandchildren: Ella Riley-McCoy, Cayden Riley-McCoy, Brooklyn McGee, Maizee Ballard, Kamryn Ballard, Hadley Ballard, as well as two expectant great-grandchildren, Baby Ballard and Baby Scerbo

● Her cousin, Toby Travis (Cheryl)

Pat loved her family and the Lord with all her heart, serving as a bright example of love, faith, and kindness. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation will commence at 9:00 am on Thursday, September 17th, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am at Howe Mortuary & Crematory, 439 Coffman Street, Longmont CO.
