Patricia Newman

Patricia Newman, 70, of Longmont died April 2, 2011 at home. She was born January 18, 1941 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Roger and Elizabeth (Osborne) Slattery.Patricia married Robert C. Newman on Oct. 2, 1960 in Lakewood, CO. She was a homemaker. They moved to Longmont in 1985 from Littleton, CO. Pat and Bob loved to camp, fish and travel in their motor home, visiting nearly all 50 states. In the last several years, they enjoyed taking cruises to the Caribbean, Alaska, through the Panama Canal, Europe and the Mediterranean. Two of her favorite vacation spots were Disneyland and Disneyworld.Pat enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Pat was a devoted caregiver to their son Steve. She loved all animals and especially her many Shetland Sheepdogs. She was a loyal Denver Bronco fan, attending home games with Bob since 1976. Pat was a member of the Colorado Federated Women's Club in Longmont for many years. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Newman in 1981, and her parents. Her father in 1992, and her mother in 2009.Patricia is survived by her husband Robert of Longmont, two daughters; Carrie Newman of Englewood, CO and Gail Rendon of Parker, CO two grandsons; Casey and Tony Rendon and a sister, Joanne Gustafson of Golden.Memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday April 9, 2011 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
