Patricia Wagner

Patricia “Patty” Wagner, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on July 29, 2015 in Longmont, Colorado. She was born on August 20, 1944 in Longmont, Colorado to the late Joseph Smith, Sr. and Margaret Schell.

Patty worked at Safeway as a Deli Clerk until her retirement. She spent her later years caring for her dogs, numerous cats, and her grandchildren, who visited regularly. Patty loved to spend time with her grandchildren, play cards, watch movies, and shopping. She also enjoyed visiting and going out to eat with her good friends, especially Frankie and June. Patty enjoyed her quiet time reading novels or completing word search puzzles. Patty was very social and also enjoyed spending time with, or speaking on the phone with, various other relatives and friends. Her humor, smiles, optimism, and laughter were contagious, and all are things people will miss about her.

Patty leaves behind her loving husband, John Wagner; her children, Andrea (with husband Mike) Haefele of Longmont, Colorado, and Jeffery (with wife Kristy) Wagner of Erie, Colorado; beloved grandchildren Cortland, Braelynn, Jake, Jarret, Jace, and Justin; and her brother, Joseph Smith, Jr. She also will be missed by her nieces, nephews, friends, and countless others whom she has gotten to know along her life’s journey. In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her sister, LaRae Sweet.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am with services to follow at 11:00 am on Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel in Longmont. A reception will follow the services. Inurnment will be at the Erie Cemetery at a later date.
