Paul Herman Woelfle passed away on November 24, 2023 in Longmont, Colorado.

He was born on April 25, 1927 to David H. Woelfle and Theodora H. (Grether) in Loveland, Colorado.

He graduated from Loveland High School and enlisted in the United States Navy in 1945, following his enlistment he attended York College in York, Nebraska followed by studies at the United Theological Seminary and was ordained in 1955.

He married Roe Zanne (Divelbiss) on June 24, 1967 in Pueblo, CO. They lived in Boulder from 1980 to 2019 when they moved to the Longmont area.

Paul served the community through dedicated work as a minister for the United Methodist church in Mead and several churches in eastern Colorado. Followed by appointments in Greeley, Eads, Sargent/Mosca and Boulder, Colorado. He served in Boulder from 1980-1990 and retired. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church. He volunteered with Meals on Wheels and sang in the Senior Saints Singing Group.

He enjoyed working with model ships and woodworking, he was also was an avid fisherman, especially stream fishing.

He is survived by his loving wife Roe Zanne Woelfle of Longmont, CO. His sons, Paul Douglas (Laura) Woelfle of Post Falls ID, Mark William Woelfle of Denver CO,Timothy David Woelfle (Carrie) of Firestone, CO. His sister, Mary Phelps of Middletown, CT. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Freyja Woelfle-Nicoll of Cheyanne, WY, Paige Bossé of Green Bay, WI, Joshua Woelfle of Post Falls, ID, Joseph Woelfle of Post Falls ID, Abigail Woelfle, Firestone, CO, Benjamin Woelfle of Firestone, CO, Elodie Woelfle of Firestone, CO and his great grand child Zachariah Kinnett of Cheyenne WY. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews and all those who came to know and love Paul.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers William Woelfle and Warren “Davey” Woelfle.

He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
