Pauline Anabel Purnell (Downie)

On August 20, 1950 Pauline married Gene S. Purnell in San Francisco, CA. They remained happily married for 51 years. He preceded her in death.

Pauline was a very active member of the Methodist Church throughout her entire life. She was a talented pianist and will be remembered as a wonderful and kind person. In addition to being a wonderful mother, she worked as the main secretary for her Church for 17 years.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, her brother Harold Downie and her daughter Nancy Purnell.

She is survived by her son Greg Purnell of Trinidad, CA; her daughter Diane Purnell of Longmont, CO; two granddaughters Megan Jessie and Kaitlyn Jessie; her niece Marcia Frye; her nephew Michael Downie.

Pauline’s ashes will rest with her husband Gene’s ashes at Foothill Gardens Cemetery in Longmont CO.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Longs Peak United Methodist Church, 1421 Elmhurst Drive, Longmont, CO, 80503 on Dec 12, 2015 at 4pm.
