

Penni Johnson passed away November 3, 2021 in Longmont, Colorado, in the comfort of her own home with loved ones by her side. She was born to Ernie and Bertha (Rinehart) Baker on June 4, 1952, in Dixon, Illinois. Penni attended Dixon High School and graduated from Pawnee High School. She moved to Colorado in 1972 where she met and later married Daryl Johnson, in September 1974.
Penni attended Aims Community College in Greeley, graduating with a Liberal Arts Degree. At the start of Penni’s career she was a switchboard operator at the Longmont Clinic, a book keeper at Golden West Milling and Sekiech Equipment before becoming a small business owner at Garage Door Systems for 26 years. After selling Garage Door Systems she enjoys working for two small non-profits Shekinah Ministries and Agape Safe Haven.
Penni enjoyed many hobbies like painting ceramics, reading mystery books, gardening, camping and boating. She was survived by her husband Daryl, son Todd (Ashley) of Longmont, daughter Sara of Longmont, sister Lendy Smith of Nachusa, IL, grandchildren Presley, Garrett, and Brock of Longmont, nieces and nephews Amy (Aaron) Harris, Stacy Basford, Mathew (Madison) Smith of Dixon, IL; Tabatha Cobb & Joseph Kilde of Loveland and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, infant son Chad Johnson, brother Ernie Baker, infant son Chad Johnson, and niece Lonnie Johnson. Gravesite services are planned for June of 2022. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Longmont Humane Society.
