Pennie Anne Grill

Pennie was born on September 9, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan, to George Morris and Joyce (MacDonald) Morris. She was the youngest of three children and grew up in Garden City, Michigan, alongside her older sister, Bonnie Morris, and her older brother, Michael Morris. She graduated from Garden City West High School in 1980.

In 1981, Pennie moved from Michigan to Colorado and on April 21, 1984, she married Robert “Bob” Grill in Boulder, Colorado. Together they shared more than four decades of marriage and raised two daughters, Elychia and Alexis and one grandchild, Gabriel, in their family home in Longmont, CO.

Pennie dedicated her professional life to helping others. She worked at The Cottage Daycare in Longmont from 1981 until 2001, where she served as a supervisor. She then joined the Longmont Clinic, where she worked from 2001 until her retirement in 2023. As a member of the medical reception team, Pennie was often the first smile patients encountered when they walked through the door.

Pennie enjoyed many activities throughout her life; including cheerleading, skiing, camping, jet skiing, paddleboarding, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

Pennie is survived by her loving husband, Robert Grill of Longmont; her daughters, Elychia Grill of Longmont and Alexis Grill of Frederick; her sister, Bonnie Morris of Montrose; and her grandson, Gabriel Segovia of Longmont.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Joyce Morris, and her brother, Michael Morris.

A Memorial Service will be held at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 326 Terry St., Longmont, CO 80501, US, on June 13, 2026, at 10:00 am.
