Born in Oct 1928, to James and Carrie Morrissey, the last of 6 children. She lived all of her early life in Hays, Kansas, until he graduated from Girls Catholic High School, in 1946. Phyllis traveled to Longmont, Co to visit her sister, Mary Mauck, for the summer, at which time she met and dated, Edward Schell, which turned into “the love of her life”, and they were married in April 1948. Two children were born into this family, Dennis in 1949, and Karen in 1951. The family was living in Mead, Co, where Edward was farming, until 1962, at which time they moved Into Longmont, Co. During Phyllis’s life, she worked for 65 yrs, 32 were mostly in the real estate sales business, and 33 yrs, she worked in Boulder, CO, at LJD Enterprises, retiring at the age of 89. She dearly loved her job at LJD. Phyllis loved her family, and extended family. She was an excellent cook, she like playing poker at the American Legion, she like to travel, she was an avid reader of mysteries, daily crossword puzzels to keep her mind sharp, and occasionally playing slot machines at Blackhawk.
Phyllis was pre-deceased by her husband, Edward Schell, and her son, Dennis Schell, Sisters, Freda Crenshaw, Mary Mauck, Dorothy Cooper, and her two brothers William Morrissey and Charles Morrissey. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Karen Boshouwers, her grandkids, Malissa Day, Michelle Clark (Steve), Michael Day (Holly), and Amanda Cordova. Phyllis had 14 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
