

Raymond H. Rodgers (Ray) passed away on January 26, 2017 at Longmont United Hospital. Born March 4, 1932, he was a life-long Longmont resident except for several years spent on a family farm in Missouri. A 1949 graduate of Longmont High School, Ray married the love of his life, Roberta Steiner, in 1951. January 29th of this year is their 66th wedding anniversary. Ray's work career included positions at the original South Johnson's Corner, Pepsi Cola, Boulder County and Rocky Flats. He also served on the Longs Peak Water District Board of Directors and retired with 20 plus years in the Colorado National Guard. As a young father, he had been active in the Longmont Jaycees. He was a lifetime member of the Longmont Elks and a member of the NRA. He is survived by his wife, Roberta; his daughters Vicki Peluse, Paula Laubhan (Randy), Terri Ehrenbock (Dennis) and his son Bruce (Kristi.) He was blessed with 8 grandchildren (Megan and Jason Elkins, Angie Peluse and Kevin Delaney, David Laubhan, Matt Peluse, Ehrich Rodgers, Cassie Ehrenbock, Nissa Ehrenbock and Kara Marino) and 9 great grandchildren. His brother, Charles Rodgers and wife, Donna, and his brother in law, Norman Steiner and wife, Shirley, along with many special cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by his parents Emily (Jessee) and H. Harold Rodgers and his son-in-law, Nick Peluse. At Ray's request, no funeral service will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Alhberg Funeral Chapel with Interment at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Ray's memory to the Longmont Humane Society.
