Renee Jean Whitney (Whitney)

Renee was born on May 28, 1977 in Denver to Roger Whitney and Mary Boog Whitney. She attended Frederick schools. As a young lady she worked as a Nanny for a number of years.

Renee then became focused on her first love, her children. She was always the entertaining, interactive mother and aunt. A quick wit and a dry sense of humor served her well, as she frequently was found ribbing family and friends. She will be remembered as a fighter, survivor and giver. She was a nurturing friend who loved deeply. She loved music and enjoyed going to concerts whenever it was possible.

Through the years she has been an active member of Narcotics Anonymous. This was a helpful program that she practiced with passion and commitment. She served as a mentor for others through the program.

She is survived by her mother, her five children, one brother and two sisters.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 5, at the Howe Mortuary Chapel.
