Richard N. Rosan

Richard N. Rosan passed away on April 10, 2015 at Longmont United Hospital. He was born January 25, 1946 in Belleville, IL to Nolan A. Rosan and Ethel C. Carr. He was raised in Carbondale, IL and moved with his family to Boulder, CO in 1959. After graduating from Boulder High School in 1964, Rick joined the Navy and served as a Radioman Petty Officer 3rd Class on board the USS Terrebonne Parish LST 1156. After leaving the Navy in 1970, Rick went to Metro State in Denver, CO where he earned his BA in English in 1974. Rick married Kendra Axelson in 1974 and lived in Gunbarrel, CO where they raised their two children. Rick worked as a clerk at Ideal Market in Boulder, CO. Rick enjoyed fly fishing and spent a great deal of time fishing in and around Walden, CO. Rick was preceded in death by his parents Nolan and Ethel, sister Deborah Wiggins and great-grandson Jace Parks. Rick is survived by his children Ethan R. Rosan and his wife Amanda of Milliken, CO and Kaylee N. Rosan and her fiancé Justin Parker of Longmont, CO, grandchildren Samantha L. and Makayla B. Rosan of Milliken, CO, Zach and Shelby Parker of Wichita, KS and Abby Parker and Taylor Parks of Broomfield, CO and nephews Kent Wiggins of Maryville, IL, Thomas Wiggins of Clearwater, FL and Daniel Wiggins.Services are being arranged for the end of June.
