
Robert L. Conner “Bob”, 79, passed away at home on February 26, 2016. Bob was born in Longmont on October 26, 1939 to John and Mary (Leach) Conner. Bob was a proud graduate of Longmont High School and the University of Colorado. Later, Bob served in the Army as a Second Lieutenant and was stationed in San Francisco where he met and married his wife Betty. Bob and Betty eventually moved back to Longmont where he took over the family auto business “Conner’s Auto Body”. Bob ran many businesses over the years and served on many City of Longmont boards and commissions. His favorite hobbies included restoring antique and classic autos and restoring model trains. He spent many hours volunteering for various organizations throughout Longmont. He also spent all of his time with his beloved little dog “Spikey” who was his constant companion. Bob and Betty were married for 55 years and raised four daughters, all graduates of Longmont High School. Bob is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife, Betty; daughter Lisa Conner of Tustin, CA; daughter Christy Hattel (Mike) of Louisville, CO; daughter Shelley Flores (Jose) of Merced, CA; daughter Amy Narayan (Ash) of Newport Coast, CA and six grandchildren: Michael and James Hattel, Conner and Tyler Narayan and Katrina and Nathalie Flores.
A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel in Longmont. A reception will follow the services in the Howe Mortuary Event Room.
