
Robert E. Deshner died December 8, 2010 at Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs. He was born November 24, 1922 in Endeavor, PA to Charles J. Deshner and Lena Mae Mealey. He graduated from High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1942- 1946. He married Mary Jean Wilson on December 14, 1945, she preceded him in death in 1984; he later married Betty Bach in April of 1985 who is currently a resident of LifeCare Center in Longmont. Robert moved to Boulder, CO from New Mexico in 1962 and then to Longmont in 1967. He worked as a carpenter, construction worker, and for the St. Vrain Valley School District retiering in 1985. He was of the Lutheran Faith and loved the Rocky Mountains, hunting, fishing, football, and baseball. Robert is preceded in death by his first wife Mary Jean in 1984; his son Kevin Deshner; his grandson Gerry Lawrence Deshner; two brothers Stanley and Francis; and four sisters Edna, Bertha, Ruth, and Arlie. He is survived by his wife Betty of Longmont; his son Gerry and wife Jan Deshner of Yoder, CO; his daughter-in-law Jackie Richardson of Spokane, WA; two step-daughters Carol Campbell of Longmont and Linda Cosby of Georgia; nine grandchildren Robert Deshner, Kandi Macy, Pamela Cosby-Martin, Daniel Cosby, Rebecca Campbell, Debra Campbell-Williams, Christopher Campbell, Kevin Deshner Jr., and Kelly Deshner; six great-grandchildren Alex, Jazmyne, Jasmine, Baby Chaz, Ella, and Jadon; his special niece and nephew Anna Mae and Tracy Passerotti; and numerous other great nieces and nephews. Funeral service 1:00 PM Wednesday December 15, 2010 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel with viewing one hour prior. Burial at Foothills Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
