Robert Paul Gaither

Robert Paul Gaither passed away May 29, 2015 at the LifeCare Center of Longmont. He was 86 years old.Robert was born on January 2, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri to William and Mary (Golden) Gaither.He was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Air Force.He was a building contractor in Great Falls, MT from 1950 “ 1980. Later he owned his own trucking company from 1980-2003 where he was a dedicated owner operator with the Alaska Highway operation for North American Van Lines. He retired in 2003 and moved to Longmont, Colorado in 2010 to be closer to his family. Throughout his life he enjoyed golfing, showing horses, flying and driving race cars.Robert was preceded in death by his wife Winnifred Corky Gaither; his sons Thomas and James Gaither; his parents; his siblings Alfred, Harold, Jim, Richard, Jean, Geraldine, and Darla; and one grandchild Iola Gaither.He is survived by his children Daniel (Peggy) Gaither of Longmont, CO, Dennis (Gail) Gaither of Pickerington, OH, Larry (Linda) Magnuson of Hudson, WI, Steve (Jacque) Magnuson of Muskego, WI, and Rob (Heidi) Magnuson of Hasting, WI; his sister Peggy K lling; his grandchildren Robert Gaither, Michele (Jonathan) Hoffman, Bobby Gaither, Audrey (Shane) Tayler, Alfred Gaither, Justin Gaither, Nicholas Gaither and J Gaither; his daughter in law Sue Gaither; stepdaughter Roberta Lawrence; and his step grandson Mike Lawrence.Private family inurnment will be held later at Highland Cemetery in Great Falls, Montana.
