My mother Mary Gary Sonnier was good friends with Bobby, he would walk  her home everyday after school. He would even carry her books. They played basketball in the afternoons. My Mother has great memories of her good friend. She always said they got along really well. They were like brother and sister. My Mother was so sad to hear of his passing. My mother is 4 years older than Mr. Bobby. My prayers are with his family and also Mr. Robert (Bobby) LaPoint.. God Bless you all.

My life will never be the same. Your laugh was contagious and your passion white-hot. You helped others without question and had a very generous, loving heart. Thank you for everything—I will never forget you.  I love you, Bobby.

I will so miss seeing you at the Soaring Eagles and face booking together. I will save every like you clicked on to something I share on fb, we were in agreement of a lot of the same things. Your smile and kind face I will always remember about you and the LOVE of God that shined through you. You will FOREVER be missed, Love you Robert.
