

Robert ""Bob"" Peppler of Dacono, died December 21, 2009 at Exempla Good Samaritan Hospital, Lafayette. He was 83.Bob was born on April 15, 1926 in Ferndale, Michigan to Clifford Peppler and Vera Lucas Peppler. After high school he joined the Army Air Corp, serving in Italy during WWII. He married Georgia Ann Sopp on August 30, 1947 in Flint, MichiganAfter returning from the service, he joined the automotive industry in Detroit, Michigan. In 1954, he accepted the service manager position for Hawkins Buick in Boulder, Colorado. He would move and raise his family in Boulder. He later worked for Olympic Lanes, Flatirons Paving all of Boulder and Delta Drywall, Denver. He moved to Dacono, where he has resided since 1974.Bob worked hard providing for his children. He further spent all his free time with them and making life interesting and fun. His grandchildren and great grandchildren have brought him the greatest amount of joy and love. He was a member of the American Legion Post #32, Longmont.A zest for life, Bob enjoyed the thrills in life to the fullest. An early love of motorcycles, he started owning Harley-Davidson Motorcycles at a young age and road his Harley just three weeks ago. He was also a motor cross rider and introduced and encouraged his young sons the skills and joys of the sport. A gun enthusiast, he was an avid collector and an expert marksman. Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife.Surviving are his children; Patrick (Patty) Peppler of Mead, Mike (Suzanne) Peppler of Mead, Lynne (Jonathan) Begun of Greenwood Village, Colorado and Jan (John) Wood of St. Mary's Glacier, Colorado; dear friend Beverly Davis of Loveland; 10 grandchildren Chad, Amy, Adam, Neil, Rachael, Derek, Lauren, Matt, Sarah, and Jay; 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.Private services have been held.
