

Roberta was born in Hastings, Nebraska to Benjamin and Orma Rutt. She spent her early childhood in Nebraska but moved with her family to Colorado when she was in the fourth grade. She graduated from Boulder High School and married her high school sweetheart, Keith Booton. They had been happily married for 52 years before Keith passed away.
Roberta was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a very good cook and an expert seamstress. She sewed many of her own and her children’s’ clothes and made wonderful doll clothes and Halloween costumes for her children. She was very involved in school activities including PTA and served as a leader for both the Girl Scouts and 4-H club over the years. Roberta also enjoyed working in her flower garden, and read extensively in her spare time. Roberta always loved animals, especially dogs. She cherished her pet poodles beginning with her first dog “Snowball” when she was a child. She had two other poodles during her lifetime, and also enjoyed every dog she came in contact with. Roberta and Keith enjoyed traveling and took many road trips throughout the United States and Alaska. They also traveled in Hawaii, Canada and several countries in Europe. Another thing Roberta loved was dancing. She and Keith went square dancing for a number of years and she also enjoyed dancing at family weddings.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Keith, and her brother Dick. She is survived and will be missed by her three daughters: Kathy Mueller of Longmont, Linda and husband Jeff Brown of Longmont, and Debby and husband Jan Cranor of Ft. Collins. She will also be missed by her 7 grandchildren: Larissa and husband John, Alison, Kaitlin, Kara, Justin, Ryan, Sarah and husband Matt, as well as four great grandchildren: Liam, Finnian, Noah and Jaedyn.
Visitation for Roberta will be on Saturday, August 29 from 8:00 to 9:00 am at Howe Mortuary of Longmont. Her funeral service will follow at 9:00 am on Saturday. Burial will take place at 10:00 am on Monday, August 31 at Mountain View Memorial Park in Boulder.
