Ronald Ackerman passed away peacefully on October 3, 2013. Ron was born in Dallas, Oregon on May 17, 1933 and joined the United States Air Force in the 1950s -- eventually retiring as a Lt. Colonel in 1995. Ron enjoyed books, music, and discussing history and politics with his friends. Ron was an avid volunteer and supporter of Rocky Mountain PBS and will be missed for his warm smile, hearty laugh and caring for others. He is survived by his brother Robert Ackerman of Reno, Nevada, and sister Betty Lou Kitchens of Sacramento. Ron was preceded in death by his sister Lois Moore, sister Shirley Anne Holman, and sister Alice Whilon.
