Rose was born on March 29, 1932 in Saffordville, Kansas to Nathaniel Leeson and Ida Morgan Leeson. After finishing school she moved to Colorado, marrying Desmond Long, Sr. on May 2, 1950 in Palisade, Colorado.
Rose worked for StorageTek for 35 years, beginning with the company at its infantile stage and growing with the company as a quality control technician. She enjoyed not only her work, but also those she worked with at the company.
Preceding her in death is her husband.
Surviving are her daughter Barbara (Keith) Mason of Firestone; two sons Mark Desmond Long of Ft. Lupton and Allen Long of Westminster; a sister Lois (Roland) Long of Shoshone, Wyoming; 7 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 1, at the Howe Mortuary Chapel with T.R. Sheforgen officiating. Interment will follow at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
