Rosann ""Rose Gertrude Garza

Rosann was born in Oak Creek, Colorado to Abel and Flora Gonzales on January 1, 1947. She graduated from Erie High School in 1965. On July 24, 1970, she married Lionel Garza and they settled in Firestone, Colorado where they raised their family. Rosann and Lonnie loved traveling and attending car shows together and made long lasting friendships along the way.

Rosann worked within the St. Vrain Valley School District for 22 years as a paraprofessional. She also worked part-time as a waitress. She was a hard worker, but also found the time to be an avid reader. She had so much love for her family, especially for her grandchildren.

Rosann is survived by her husband, Lionel Garza, her sons Matthew (Amanda), Julian (Shauntina), her stepson Lionel (Mary), her stepdaughter Betty Ann (Danny) her sister Christine, 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Ronald Garza, daughter Barbara Gonzales and her sister Betty Luis.

Rosary prayers will be said at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Frederick. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 also at St. Theresa’s. Burial will follow at Foothills Gardens of Memory in Longmont.
