

On Tuesday, April 16, 2019 Rose V. Cervera, 97, loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend was welcomed by Jesus Christ her Savior, as she passed peacefully into his arms.Rose was born on April 6, 1922, in Amsterdam, New York to Diamond and Lousie (Rapello) Santoro. She attended Mildred Elley Academy and earned her secretarial degree. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John and sister Marguerite Gisondi.On October 3, 1945 she married Alphonse Cervera. They raised three children in Niskayuna, New York. Rose worked for the Town of Niskayuna until 1999. In 2000 she moved to Longmont, Colorado where she continued to spread her joy of serving others. She was a volunteer at The Our Center in Longmont and active in the community of St. John the Baptist Church in Longmont where she was in the rosary society and Stephen Ministry. Angels live among us, sometimes they hide their wings, but there is no disguising the peace and hope they bring. That quote accurately describes Rose and how she lived her wonderful life, She radiated the love of God, sharing the message of joy of His heavenly home and lived her life honoring Him, just waiting for her precious moment to arrive. We will miss her dearly.Rose is survived by her children, Cynthia (Steve) Bushey; Robert (Nancy) Cervera; Bernadette (Gil) Reed; her grandchildren Daniel (Kim) Reed, David Reed, Nicholas Reed,Juston Bushey; Tina Servidone, Angelina Cervera, Jed Reed and Josiah Reed; 4 great grandchildren, Austin and Addison Reed and Isabella and Antonio Servidone; her surrogate children Tony and Cindy Reed; Dave and Christine Bickel; many beloved nieces, nephews and dear friends.A mass celebrating Rose's beautiful life will be held in New York.
