Ruben A. Zamudio, Jr. of Longmont died June 17, 2011 at the HospiceCare Center in Louisville. He was 58.He was born December 4, 1952 in Longmont to Ruben and Gloria (Enriquez) Zamudio.Ruben served in the United States Army at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo and was Honorably discharged.On Sept. 5, 1970 he married Elsie Romero in Boulder.He worked 29 years as a supervisor for the City of Boulder water department.Ruben was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He enjoyed working on cars and sports.He was preceded in death by his parents.Ruben is survived by his loving wife Elsie, three sons Ruben J., Ryan and Russ, three brothers Edward, Mike and James, two sisters Lydia Bueno and Mona Bustamante and 7 grandchildren.Rosary Prayers will be said at 10:00am Thursday, June 23 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, followed at 10:30am by Mass of the Resurrection. Interment at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel to assist the family.
