Ruth Dorr

Ruth Arlene Dorr, formerly of Longmont, died April 4, 2014 at Mesa Vista Care Center in Boulder. She was 88. Ruth was born July 16, 1925 in York, Nebraska to Frank and Nancy (Eaglehoff) McLean. She was a graduate of Manville High School. On July 31, 1949 Ruth married Harvey Dorr in Longmont, CO.

Ruth worked as a grocery store checker for a number of years. She will be remembered for her love of cooking and baking and the time she would spend in the yard tending her flower gardens and her shrubs. She was of Methodist faith.

Survivors include her sons Bob Bjorge and his wife Trudi, Kim Dorr and his wife Rachel and Kelly Dorr and his wife Kellie, all of Longmont. She is further survived by her brother Frank McLean and his wife Joan of Sunlakes, AZ and by her grandchildren Richard Bjorge and his wife Sharon and Stephanie Malone and her husband Peter, all of Newbury, England, and Josh Dorr of Colorado Springs, CO. Two great grandchildren Grace and Henry Malone of Newbury, England also survive.

Preceding Ruth in death are her parents and her husband.

Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services. Private services will be held at a later date.
