Ruth Elizabeth McDaniel

Ruth Elizabeth McDaniel passed away February 28, 2017 at Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, CO. She was 95 years old.Ruth was born on July 28, 1921 in Liberty, NY to Thomas Albert and Anna (Smith) Wylam. She married James P. McDaniel on February 1, 1944 in Vails Gate, NY. Ruth enlisted in the U.S. Navy where she was a Parachute Rigger 3rd Class stationed in New Jersey and Washington DC.After her honorable discharge Ruth raised her five children.She was of the Baptist faith and attended Tri City Baptist Church in Westminster.Ruth enjoyed fishing, traveling and camping.She was preceded in death by her husband James; her parents and two sisters Marjorie and Ruby.Ruth is survived by her five children Richard, David, Douglas, Dean and Anna McDaniel.A visitation will be held from 10:00- 11:00 AM Friday March 3, 2017 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel 326 Terry St. Longmont, CO. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 AM Friday March 3, 2017 at Foothills Gardens of Memory Cemetery 14251 N. 107th St. Longmont, CO 80504.
