
Darlene was born on February 8, 1938, in Comstock, Nebraska, to Walter and Ruth (Allely) Dunbar. She later moved with her family from Grand Island, Nebraska, to Longmont, Colorado, in 1950. She graduated from Longmont High School with the Class of 1956.
On December 21, 1956, Darlene married Albert Tomich in Canoga Park, California.
Darlene and Albert owned and operated Kwik Kopy Printing and Copy It from 1976 until the early 2000s. While she was proud of their business, she was above all else an exceptional homemaker who cared for her family.
A member of Grace Evangelical Free Church, Darlene also enjoyed being involved with the Red Hat Society and the Lady Bugs Club. In her free time, she found joy in sewing, gardening, working on crossword puzzles, and playing Scrabble.
Darlene is survived by her daughters Leslie (Robert) Riggle and Michelle (Rick) Williams; her grandchildren, Lindsey Green, Zachariah (Rachel) Riggle, Jeremiah (Caitlyn) Riggle, Jesse (Calandra) Riggle, Rachael Deverman, Caleb (True) Riggle; her great-grandchildren, Alivia, Maykayla, Elle, Chloe, Aria, Zion, Selah, Liam, Luke, Raelymn, Ronnin, Keith, River, LuAnne, and Beau; and her great-great-grandchild, Leilani.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert Tomich; her parents, Walter and Ruth Dunbar; her brother, Walter Dunbar; her sisters Margaret Ekx and Shirley Gockley.
