Sharla Jean Atwood

ATWOOD, Sharla Jean, of Longmont, CO, died September 14, 2006. She was 18.Sharla was born December 8, 1987 in Marshfield, Wisconsin to Allen Lester and Sonia Jane (Ehlers) Tonak. She grew up in Wisconsin on a farm, where she enjoyed caring for and being around farm animals. She participated in choir in middle and high school and was selected for Honor Choir. She also played the piano. She was an avid supporter of the Green Bay Packers. Sharla graduated from Thompson Valley High School in Loveland in 2005.Sharla was married to Brent Adam Atwood on July 27, 2005 in Loveland, Colorado. She was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Loveland. Sharla and Brent recently celebrated the birth of their son in May. She was a homemaker and mother.Sharla is survived by her husband, Brent of Longmont; her four month old son, Jon Steven Atwood II; her mother, Sonia Daggett and her husband Dan of Loveland, CO; her father, Allen Tonak of Appleton, Minnesota; a brother, Joshua Tonak and his wife Jennifer of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Heather Soto and her husband Angel stationed in Italy; grandparents: Elmer and Carolyn Ehlers of Loveland, CO and James and Carol Tonak of Onalaska, Wisconsin; her great grandmother, Ruth Stoffer of Kansas City, Missouri, and a niece and nephew.Memorial services will be held on Monday, September 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Tom Beaman officiating. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary.Memorials may be given to her son: the Jon Steven Atwood Memorial Fund and sent to Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, Colorado 80501.
