Sharon Louise Palmer

Sharon Louise Palmer, 68 of Longmont, left this earth to be in the arms of the Lord on June 27, 2013, with her family at her side. Sharon lost a four year battle with a rare form of cancer called Leiomyosarcoma.Sharon was born March 12, 1945 in Longmont, the daughter of Ernest and Virginia (Brodie) Davies. Sharon attended school in the Altona area and graduated from Longmont High School. After graduation, she went to work for U.S. West (later AT&T) in Denver. Sharon had a 29 year career with stops in New Jersey (corporate headquarters), Cheyenne and Kansas City. On her retirement, she returned to live in Longmont.Sharon met Michael Palmer and they married in Las Vegas in 2005.Sharon is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Davies.Sharon is survived by her mother, Virginia Davies, brothers Chuck (Joyce) Davies of Loveland, Don (Carol) Davies of Longmont, her husband Michael and several nieces, one nephew, one aunt, one uncle and several cousins.Sharon was a member of Life Bridge Christian Church and a volunteer at Longmont United Hospital. She was a Broncos and Rockies fan.There will be no formal service. There will be a family gathering to celebrate her life at a later date. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel & Crematory.
