

Shelly Marie Parker, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 23, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on December 26, 1964, Shelly lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and adventure.
A lifelong resident of Frederick, Colorado, Shelly graduated from Frederick High School and went on to attend the University of Northern Colorado. She pursued a career as a radiologic technologist, dedicating herself to helping others through her work in the medical field.
Shelly had a deep love for the outdoors, finding joy in riding horses and spending peaceful days fishing. She also expressed her love for others through quilting, creating beautiful quilts for friends and family that will be cherished for years to come. Shelly adored her dog, Otis, who was her loyal companion. Her passion for nature, creative spirit, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones defined her life.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Micheal Parker, her children; Kathryn and Tylar, sister Patricia Carl and brothers Robert Wigent and Terry Miller, along with many nieces and nephews.
Shelly was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Vera Wigent; her sisters, Ramona Tibbits and Beverly Bauer; and her brothers, Vernon and Charles Wigent.
Her sense of humor and generous heart touched everyone she met. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
Services to celebrate Shelly’s life will be held March 9th with Memorial services at Ahlburg Funeral Chapel in Longmont, CO at 11am with a 1pm lunch to follow at The American Legion Post 1985 in Firestone, CO. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Roberta’s Legacy (https://robertaslegacy.org) to assist families on their journey with breast cancer.
