Shirley A. Davis-Bunn

She passed away under Hospice care at the age of 96 on January 1, 2024, in Longmont, Colorado.

Shirley was one of three children. She grew up in Scranton, and shortly after graduating high school, she married Robert Davis and moved to Endicott, NY., and then on to Vestal, NY. In 1967, they transferred with IBM to Longmont, CO. She and Bob would be together for over 50 years before his passing in 1998. Years later, Shirley met and married Frank Bunn, whom she was with until his passing in 2007.

Throughout her life, Shirley had many different hobbies including knitting, cooking, ceramics, bowling, and golf. She was also active in the Eastern Star and the Elks. She held various jobs as a dental assistant, an office assistant and a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Bob and second husband Frank; her brother Albert Miller Jr.; sister Belle Miller Hughes as well as her daughter Nancy Lee Helmer. She is survived by her two daughters, Diane Louise Rafferty and Karen Jean Poole; her five grandchildren Jennifer Poole Brescia; Sara Poole; Narelle Helmer Woods; Barrett Helmer; and Jessica Rafferty Kesteloot; 10 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
