

Sue ?Ternie? Keckhut of Longmont, died October 23, 2006 at Longmont United Hospital after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. She was 65.Sue was born on May 6, 1941 in Winslow, Arizona to Efren Chavez and Desideria ?Daisy? Marquez. She grew up in Winslow, graduating from Winslow High School in 1959. Sue married Marv Keckhut on September 7, 1959 in Winslow. The family moved to Longmont in 1963.Sue worked as a Chiropractic Assistant for Dr. Summery and Dr. Krieger for a number of years. She later operated the Tax Connection of Longmont with Mary Lou McQuown, which she ran until retiring for health reasons last year.Sue was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was also a member of National Association of Tax Preparers. Preceding her in death are her parents, a step father Milton Herrera and a sister JoJo Sanchez.Surviving are her husband of Longmont, two daughters Denise Bobbitt and her husband John of Chandler, AZ, and Sheila Dingman of Moorpark, CA, a son Richard Keckhut and his wife Mary of Scottsdale, AZ, 6 grandchildren David Karal and Barbara Palen and her husband Jeff of Chandler, AZ, Nicholas and Jessica Dingman of Moorpark, CA and Shelby and Cody Keckhut of Scottsdale, AZ, two brothers Dr. Albert Chavez of Paradise Valley, Joe ?Sonny? Herrera of San Francisco, five sisters Isabel Schiltz of Peoria, AZ, Gerri Sullivan of Evanston, WY, Terri Sandoval of Tulsa, OK, Lucille Chalmers of Egan, MN and Sara Tapia of Northridge, CA.There will no visitation hours scheduled.Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday October 27 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Hernan Flores officiating.
