Susan was born on October 22, 1957 to Margaret and Richard Wesley. She grew up in Wallingford, CT with her siblings Debbi Wesley and Richard Wesley, Jr. She often talked of fond childhood memories of family game night at her home, pizza from Grand APizza, and making trips to Chic’s Drive-In for Lobster Rolls.
Life later took her to Chesapeake, Virginia where she spent almost three decades raising her children and oldest grandson who were the lights of her life. In 2014, she moved to Colorado and built a wonderful life for herself, her grandson Damien and granddaughter Zoey. She worked at Major Medical Company and was active in the Single Mom’s group through Lifebridge Christian Church. She was thankful for her many friends that helped to make her days fun. Susan was known to be generous with her time and life – always taking care of those around her unconditionally.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents Margaret and Richard Wesley Sr, as well as her brother Richard G. Wesley Jr. She is survived by her sister Debbi Wesley; children Daniel Turner (Sarah), Diane Platt, Stefanie O’Brien (Darren), Denise Rodriguez (Julio); and grandchildren Hellena Rodriguez, Leone Rodriguez, Damien Toutant, Zoey Cavanaugh, Kyle Turner and Abigail Turner.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 24th at 9am followed by a memorial service beginning at 10am. Both events will be held at Lifebridge Christian Church at 10345 Ute Highway, in Longmont, Colorado. Following the service will be a private family burial at Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont, Colorado.
Susan was known by all as someone with a compassionate and giving spirit. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Susan’s life are encouraged to make a donation to the Pearl Promise
